What you will do

• Contribute to well-scoped engineering tasks within admin tools, backend APIs, ML-supported systems, or monorepo/platform work.
• Pair program and collaborate closely with mentors.
• Learn and practice code reviews, issue tracking, version control, and CI/CD basics.
• Improve documentation, add tests, and fix small bugs.
• Join team rituals like standups, sprint planning, and demos.

Requirements

• Basic programming fundamentals (functions, data structures, debugging).
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go).
• Familiarity with Git (cloning, committing, branching, pull requests).
• Understanding of APIs and ability to experiment with basic requests.
• Foundational web development knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS or basic familiarity with frontend frameworks).
• Must be able to work from the New York City or Lisbon office 3 days a week.
• Fluency in English for primary team collaboration.
