TL;DR

Location: Warsaw, Poland or Malmö, Sweden

What you will do

  • Lead and manage the Level Design team, ensuring objectives, quality standards, and production milestones are met.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations aligned with the broader project vision.
  • Collaborate with design leadership and artists to craft unique spaces with memorable gameplay flow and visual composition.
  • Design, prototype, implement, and polish in-game spaces and content, including level geometry and enemy encounters.
  • Work within multi-discipline teams to create open-world locations for quests and activities.
  • Provide constructive feedback on others’ work and act as a liaison to other departments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a professional Level Designer.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, set priorities, and deliver against defined production timelines.
  • Experience with technical game design, including implementation in tools, game logic, and visual scripting.
  • Understanding and execution of the fundamentals of Open World Level Design in modern game engines.
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team, comfortable with self-critique and accepting outside feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills and a track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading content design teams on AAA Open World titles.
  • Major recognition in your field of work.
  • Having made your own game as a side or indie project.
  • Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, or programming.
  • Architectural experience.
