TL;DR

Service Designer (Fintech): Designing customer and colleague-facing services within a financial group, focusing on understanding problems, exploring opportunities, and applying human-centred design principles. Accent on integrating AI and agentic capabilities responsibly to improve internal operations and ensure great customer outcomes.

Location: Hybrid, requiring at least two days per week (40%) in the Manchester office.

Salary: £61,344 - £68,160 per year

What you will do

  • Work as part of agile, cross-functional teams to explore problems and design end-to-end services.
  • Apply customer, colleague, and market insight to support the shaping of initiatives.
  • Design and document current and future state services, including journeys and service blueprints.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions, helping to understand needs, risks, and constraints.
  • Communicate design work clearly, incorporating feedback and balancing different perspectives.
  • Contribute to exploring AI and agentic capabilities in a human-centred and responsible way.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in Service Design.
  • Solid grounding in service design and design thinking methods.
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset and a desire to learn and improve.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain work to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders and openness to feedback.
  • Interest in innovation and emerging technology, including AI.
