TL;DR

Senior Sales Director (Retail): Managing and leading a team of Strategic Account Executives for a customer journey orchestration platform with an accent on developing and operationalizing go-to-market strategies and sales playbooks for retail and consumer goods sectors. Focus on aggressive customer acquisition and expansion, cross-functional partnerships, and providing sales forecasting.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, United States. Candidates must be based in the United States.

Salary: $180,000–$225,000/year (base), with OTE $360,000–$450,000/year

What you will do

  • Hire, nurture, and lead a world-class sales talent team.
  • Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition and expansion strategy for the region.
  • Lead the verticalization strategy for retail and consumer goods, refining sales playbooks and messaging.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to build out a robust retail vertical go-to-market motion.
  • Coach your team through the sales process, participate in deals, and provide accurate sales forecasting.
  • Represent hirify.global in prospect, customer, and industry forums, including retail-specific conferences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience leading a team of at least five quota-carrying Strategic Account Executives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain, inspire, and develop top talent.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams through the full-lifecycle of a SaaS customer (prospecting, acquisition, retention, and long-term relationship growth).
  • Success developing vertical go-to-market strategies and sales playbooks, ideally within retail and/or consumer brand segments.
  • Ability to coordinate and work cross-functionally with internal teams (Business Development, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, and Sales Operations).
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and in-person presentation skills, along with excellent commercial and legal negotiation skills.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience selling Mobile or Marketing Technology.
  • Prior experience selling into retail and/ or consumer brand prospects.
  • Prior experience in a startup technology company.
