Location: Onsite in Irvine, CA (US). US Work Authorization required. Willingness to travel up to 25% is expected.
Salary: $116k - $159k/year

What you will do
- Provide executive-level underwriting leadership for complex and high-exposure primary casualty risks.
- Own and actively manage a strategically significant portfolio, including new business acquisition and renewal strategy.
- Set underwriting direction within assigned territory and producer relationships, identifying trends and emerging risks.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to regional and product line leadership on underwriting strategy and market opportunities.
- Lead and participate in underwriting audits, peer reviews, and governance forums.
- Build, strengthen, and selectively expand high-value producer relationships.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor to underwriting peers and support staff.
- Support and lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives influencing performance and growth.
Requirements
- Extensive experience underwriting Primary Casualty business, including complex risks and portfolios within the Western United States.
- Demonstrated progression of underwriting authority with deep technical expertise and strong risk assessment capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead portfolio strategy and influence stakeholders in a senior, consultative capacity.
- Strong marketing, negotiation, and relationship-management skills with established credibility among producers.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced designations such as CPCU or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Excellent executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- US Work Authorization required.
