TL;DR

Senior Quality Engineer (Fintech): Overseeing testing strategy and maintaining reliability, performance, and security of risk management platforms with an accent on backend data testing, automated testing frameworks, and platform compliance. Location: Hybrid, 40% in an office site in Leeds

Salary: £72,702 - £80,780

What you will do

  • Implement data testing strategies to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Apply test data management tools for crafting, managing, and maintaining test data sets.
  • Develop and execute data transformation tests using DBT (Data Build Tool).
  • Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes into GCP.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Automate data testing processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Requirements

  • Experience defining data testing strategies and managing test data.
  • Strong DBT, ETL testing, and data quality expertise.
  • Experience with BigQuery, GCP, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency with XRay for test management and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

  • Python for data automation.
  • Banking risk and regulatory knowledge (Basel, GDPR, IFRS 9).
  • CI/CD, source control, and cloud/IaC experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
