TL;DR
Data & Automation Engineer (Python, GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining intelligent automation solutions and reliable data pipelines with an accent on improving code quality, documentation, and developer experience. Focus on optimizing internal development libraries, integrating modern data stack components, and implementing automated CI agents for data integrity.
Location: On-site in Paris
Salary: €1,000 per month

What you will do
- Improve typing, documentation, and refactoring of a key internal development library (Peacock).
- Integrate the Peacock library directly with Airflow DAG components.
- Implement automated CI agents for PII detection and anonymization checks.
- Enhance linting standards (SQLFluff, Yamllint, Ruff) and document utility functions.
- Design a standardized framework for automation services.
- Implement data synchronization projects, progressing from single-direction to bi-directional syncs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in 4th year of engineering curriculum for a 4-month internship.
- Strong academic foundation in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related technical field.
- Solid programming skills in Python and good understanding of SQL and database concepts.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and basic knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP experience a plus).
- Understanding of API integrations and RESTful services.
- Good communication skills in French and English (both written and verbal).
Nice to have
- Personal projects or open-source contributions demonstrating coding skills.
- Some exposure to modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, BigQuery).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and practices.
- Experience with technical documentation and writing.
