TL;DR
Senior Test Engineer (Fintech): Carrying out testing across various systems including UI, API, back office, and 3rd party integrations with an accent on delivering tested, resilient, and performant code in a fast-paced environment. Focus on developing, shaping, and iterating customer applications and coaching/developing other testers.
Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 50% of your working time per month in the office. Must be based in the UK and able to commute regularly to one of the Manchester, London, or Bristol offices.

What you will do
- Coach and develop other testers, including peer reviews, delegation, and objective setting.
- Perform comprehensive testing across UI, API, back office, and third-party integrations, including end-to-end testing.
- Interpret business, functional, and technical requirements to inform solution development.
- Contribute expertise to solution design and delivery, ensuring optimal customer outcomes.
- Execute and record test results using software testing tools like JIRA/XRAY.
- Collaborate on creating and implementing appropriate test automation approaches from project inception.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Senior Tester, including delegating work and providing support to other testers.
- A full understanding of the testing lifecycle and methodologies.
- Ability to create and design automated test scripts using the BDD methodology.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks.
- Proven experience testing APIs using integration tools.
- Technical knowledge of Cypress, Gherkin, Page Object Model, PactumJS, TypeScript, Jenkins, Git, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Understanding of hirify.global products, processes, and relevant Financial Services legislation.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
