What you will do

• Block out, build, and heavily iterate on levels, incorporating feedback and ensuring gameplay fun.
• Collaborate with art, design, and code teams to achieve high visual quality and integrate new features.
• Take full ownership of levels, from paper design through whitebox, scripting, iteration, debugging, and optimization until shipment.
• Manage or supervise work of established Strike Teams and support lead in recruitment and onboarding.
• Fix bugs and document case studies in the knowledge base.
• Share knowledge with less experienced peers, spending 80% of time in Engine.

Requirements

• Typically 5+ years of professional level design experience.
• At least one successful shipped AAA title on PC or console.
• Experience in level design practice and theory (chokepoints, routes, lines of sight, engagement distances).
• Experience in working with the shooter genre.
• Ability to process, understand, and implement feedback.
• Full working proficiency with UE4 or UE5 and Unreal Engine Editor.
• Proficiency with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting languages and understanding of programming paradigms.
• Knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or similar 3D packages.
• Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprint experience.
