What you will do

• Plan and execute tests for backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated API test suites and smoke/regression packs.
• Perform SQL-based validations for transformations, joins, aggregations, and reconciliations.
• Support ETL/ELT testing and participate in integration and end‑to‑end testing across services and pipelines.
• Triage defects, analyze logs/metrics, and collaborate on timely resolution.
• Drive incremental improvements to QA process and tooling.

Requirements

• 3+ years in QA with emphasis on backend/API and/or data/ETL testing.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman and automation using Python (pytest/requests).
• Strong SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
• Solid understanding of HTTP/REST/JSON and auth.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD; familiarity with Agile and defect tools (Jira/Azure DevOps).

Nice to have

• Contract testing, service virtualization, and performance testing experience (k6/JMeter).
• Observability (logs/metrics) and troubleshooting in distributed systems.
• Exposure to distributed data processing or BI validation.
• Understanding of data governance.
• Certifications: ISTQB, AWS, Microsoft.
