What you will do

• Plan and execute tests for backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated API test suites and smoke/regression packs.
• Perform SQL-based validations for transformations, joins, and aggregations.
• Support ETL/ELT testing including source-to-target checks and data parity.
• Participate in integration and end-to-end testing across services and pipelines.
• Triage defects, analyze logs, and collaborate on timely resolution.

Requirements

• 3+ years in QA with emphasis on backend/API and/or data/ETL testing.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman (collections, environments, scripts) and Newman in CI.
• Automation using Python (pytest/requests) or equivalent modern stack.
• Strong SQL for data validation and reconciliation (e.g., MS SQL).
• Solid understanding of HTTP/REST/JSON and authentication (e.g., OAuth/JWT).
• Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS), Git, CI/CD, Agile, Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration.

• Contract testing, service virtualization, performance testing (k6/JMeter).
• Observability and troubleshooting in distributed systems.
• Exposure to distributed data processing (e.g., Spark) or BI validation.
