What you will do

• Manage engineering design and decisions with a team of engineers and product partners.
• Create mechanisms for achieving results and iterating improvements in a startup-like environment.
• Lead the team to deliver high-quality software solutions, adhering to coding standards and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with other managers on technical design and strategy.
• Contribute to the mission of helping hundreds of millions of customers find, evaluate, and compare products across hirify.global's stores globally.
• Work closely with product, UX designers, and in-house science teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and livesite operations.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience in engineering.
• Experience in leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Ability to work onsite from Madrid, Spain or Luxembourg is required.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe features, designs, and strategy.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness.
