What you will do

• Design and implement scalable and reliable pipelines for ensuring knowledge base accuracy in books metadata.
• Set the scientific roadmap to sustain state-of-the-art quality and efficiency, adopting appropriate long-term solutions.
• Drive scalable solutions from understanding customer needs to prototyping, production testing, and engineering into production.
• Run and supervise experiments, including designing, data collection, model training, and prompt optimization.
• Drive decisions by interpreting and communicating experimental results with managers, subject matter experts, scientists, and engineers.
• Contribute to strategic thinking, reviewing results, and identifying necessary step-changes for the wider science team.

Requirements

• PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience in building models for business applications.
• Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions.
• Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience owning end-to-end programs to drive results.

Nice to have

• PhD.
• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLM-as-judge, Knowledge Graphs, prompt optimization, agentic workflows, or LLM interpretability.
