What you will do

• Commission and deliver distinctive, significant investigations.
• Guide investigative journalists through the creative process of gathering material.
• Contribute new lines to big, moving stories.
• Develop collaborative relationships within the hirify.global and with external partners.
• Provide vision, strategic direction, and confident leadership to teams.
• Work collaboratively with hirify.global News to nurture talent and widen investigative expertise.

Requirements

• A track record of overseeing long form investigations across multiple platforms.
• Proven experience in leading teams in complex investigations.
• Demonstrable experience of commissioning and managing long form, digital first investigative documentaries.
• Substantial experience of different investigative approaches including OSINT, undercover reporting, and whistle-blower relationships.
• Outstanding experience in leading teams located in different parts of the world, especially in hostile environments.
• Superb knowledge of hirify.global’s procedures for managing legal and high-risk challenges, including undercover productions.

Nice to have

• Specific experience, including ideally language expertise, of overseeing investigations in priority parts of the world for World Service.
