TL;DR

Director, Business Development (HR-tech): Owning and scaling the outbound growth engine, driving predictable and repeatable pipeline generation at scale with an accent on leading multi-layered teams and architecting systems for long-term revenue growth. Location: Hybrid role based in New York City with an in-office expectation of at least 4 days per week.

Salary: $188,000 - $216,000

What you will do

  • Own the vision, strategy, and execution of outbound and BDR-sourced pipeline generation.
  • Lead and develop a multi-layered team of managers and BDRs, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Define the long-term vision, including org design, capacity planning, and expansion strategy for Business Development.
  • Design and refine outbound segmentation, targeting, messaging, and channel strategy with cross-functional partners.
  • Create scalable, repeatable outbound playbooks to improve meeting conversion, pipeline quality, and revenue.
  • Implement AI-driven tools and automation to increase rep efficiency and personalization at scale.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Sales Development / Business Development, including leading multi-layered teams (managers of managers).
  • Proven track record of owning outbound strategy and driving significant pipeline contribution in a high-growth B2B environment.
  • Experience building and scaling outbound playbooks across segmentation, messaging, and channel strategy.
  • Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations.
  • Strong analytical and operational rigor, with experience managing productivity metrics and pipeline generation.
  • Experience leveraging AI and and automation tools to improve rep efficiency and outbound performance.
  • Experience building high-performing, inclusive teams with strong coaching and development practices.
  • Must be able to work from New York City office at least 4 days per week.
  • Work authorization for the USA is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or HR-tech environments.
  • Experience leading through rapid growth and organizational change.
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles and complex buying committees.
