TL;DR

Backend Developer (PHP): Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for mobile applications, with an accent on implementing new features and optimizing existing services. Focus on debugging, troubleshooting, and writing auto tests in a microservices environment.

Location: Onsite in Latvia

Salary: 3200–4200 EUR (with monthly bonus included) before taxes

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain backend services.
  • Design and implement APIs for mobile applications.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to implement new features.
  • Optimize existing services.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues.
  • Write and maintain auto tests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with PHP in production environments, strong OOP, and strong knowledge of Symphony (or similar frameworks).
  • Experience with Docker, message queues (RabbitMQ), and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with a strong understanding of indexing.
  • Experience with GitFlow in a team environment.
  • Experience writing auto tests.
  • Experience working with HTML + CSS + JavaScript.
  • Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of hexagonal architecture.
