Location: Hybrid, working from the Madrid office with two days remote a week. Requires working within Spanish and Australian business hours, with weekend availability. Must have a valid work permit for Spain/Europe.

What you will do

• Ensure efficient operation and peak capacity of the render farm.
• Monitor, track, and prioritize render jobs, providing support to production artists.
• Troubleshoot render farm and application issues, identifying and reporting failure patterns.
• Organize and manage hardware provision for the render farm.
• Assess suitability of hardware resources and re-profile them accordingly.
• Run ad-hoc and structured testing for future hardware and software purchases.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience).
• At least 2 years of experience in similar IT servers/workstations roles, including Desktop & Server support in Windows & Linux.
• Intermediate Python and shell (Bash) skills.
• Experience with Media & Entertainment rendering applications (Katana, Arnold, Tractor) and VFX applications (Maya, Yeti).
• Experience using production tracking software (e.g., Shotgrid).
• Server administration, edge firewall, and general networking knowledge.
• Valid work permit for Spain/Europe is required.
