What you will do

• Assist in building, testing, and validating machine learning models for fraud and anomaly detection.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights in large-scale transaction datasets.
• Develop features, clean, and preprocess data for model training and evaluation.
• Evaluate model performance, run experiments, and document findings.
• Research new fraud patterns and machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
• Solid programming skills in Python with familiarity with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and basic queries.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies and techniques.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or work experience in data science, analytics, or software development.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning projects (coursework, personal projects, competitions like Kaggle).
• Familiarity with Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or other ML libraries.
• Understanding of fraud detection, cybersecurity, or risk management concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or big data tools (Spark, Databricks).
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-powered analytical tools.
