Senior Security Engineer

Location: Remote (United States), with compensation aligned to specific US pay zones. While the team is globally distributed, this role is explicitly tied to US compensation structures.

Salary: $130,000–$190,000 USD (based on US pay zone, experience, and role level).

What you will do

• Implement and manage the Information Security Program (incident response, vulnerability management, data protection, risk management).
• Plan and execute vulnerability assessments of products and services associated with cloud infrastructure.
• Lead Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CIRT) for triage, response, and investigation of security incidents.
• Lead regulatory readiness assessments and develop appropriate compliance strategies (e.g., SOX, SOC2, FERPA, ISO27001, NIST).
• Perform technical security assessments, architecture, and design reviews of hirify.global’s products, applications, services, and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide security expertise and guidance to all engineering and business teams, developing technical solutions for vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ of working experience in an Information Security and Compliance role.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and other information security standards with practical implementation experience.
• Solid foundation in security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols, and cryptography.
• 5+ years’ experience in security architecture and technical security designs for cloud systems infrastructure and corporate networks.
• 5+ years’ experience with AWS foundation services related to computing, networking, storage, security, deployment, and automation technologies.
• 5+ years’ experience in vulnerability assessments and risk management.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, AWS Architect, or Certified Security.
