What you will do

• Apply the Company's revenue recognition policy and accounting principles such as revenue recognition, contra revenue, deferred revenue, and variable consideration per ASC 606 standards.
• Participate in the month- and quarter-end close process, preparing journal entries and maintaining account reconciliations consistent with GAAP.
• Perform analyses to support reserves and other revenue and expense impacting entries.
• Prepare clear documentation, including technical accounting white papers, detailed processes, and audit schedules for internal and external auditors.
• Effectively assess risk over accounts and ensure financial integrity of accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Manage and streamline various systems and reporting tools including Blackline, QlikSense, RevStream, and QuickBase to ensure efficient and accurate recording and proper classification of revenue.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with minimum of 3 years experience or equivalent work experience; CPA/MBA highly desirable.
• Background in understanding and applying software and SaaS revenue accounting literature.
• Strong technical (GAAP) and financial accounting skills with the ability to document accounting conclusions.
• Ability to manage complexity well and demonstrated experience managing across functions and businesses in a large, public company environment.
• Strong end-to-end process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to raise and resolve issues appropriately.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Oracle, QuickBase, QlikSense, and RevStream.
• Experience with SOX compliance and key systems/applications.
