What you will do
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies, identifying preferable markets in the region and ensuring local implementation aligns with broader Latin American regulatory objectives.
- Engage with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and policymakers to advocate for stablecoin policies and contribute to shaping the regulatory landscape.
- Provide analysis on local regulatory proposals, advise the business on risks and opportunities, and monitor regulatory changes for proactive compliance.
- Contribute to obtaining necessary license approvals and support documentation for regulatory inquiries in identified markets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (expansion, legal, compliance, finance) and serve as the local regulatory lead for Argentina.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of regulatory experience in financial services or crypto-asset industry (5-8 years preferred).
- Ability to apply knowledge of key regulatory frameworks in Argentina strategically and operationally.
- Demonstrated diplomatic skills and experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Expertise in preparing regulatory analysis and executing interactions with regulatory authorities.
- Fluency in English and native proficiency in the local language of Argentina.
- University degree (Advanced degree in Law, Economics, or Political Science preferred).
