What you will do

• Redraw author-supplied material (diagrams, graphs, maps, charts, illustrations) into house style for weekly and monthly titles.
• Carry out editorial/author revisions and corrections to illustrations efficiently.
• Montage, resize, crop, retouch, and colour-correct photographs on a daily basis.
• Adhere closely to detailed illustration style guides, conventions, and use of house colour palettes.
• Create and maintain a graphic library of content for future reuse.
• Manage workflow using content management and in-house Editorial Management systems.

Requirements

• Ability to create complex illustrations from scratch using author-supplied files.
• Understanding the importance of precision and adherence to detailed style conventions.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a weekly/monthly publishing environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Excellent attention to fine detail and understanding of style adherence.
• Extensive skills in Adobe Illustrator for producing precise, accurate, and high-quality work.
• Proven Adobe Photoshop skills and demonstrable experience of photo retouching and colour-correction.
• Knowledge of using Adobe Acrobat to convert and manipulate files.
• Solid understanding of size vs resolution when working with photographic images.
• Working knowledge of InDesign and Microsoft Office.
