Salary: $136,300–$217,700 annually

What you will do

• Develop and refine forecasting models that power hirify.global’s view of the housing market.
• Collaborate with other applied scientists, data scientists, economists, and engineers.
• Turn large-scale housing and economic data into actionable insights for senior leaders and partners.
• Guide hirify.global’s strategy and improve how customers navigate buying, selling, and financing their homes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with time series and/or spatial forecasting problems.
• Solid foundation in traditional econometric methods and modern machine learning techniques.
• Hands-on experience preparing and processing large-scale time series or panel datasets, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering.
• Ability to design and apply appropriate model evaluation and validation approaches for time series forecasting.
• Proficiency with software development best practices and tools, including version control systems like Git and cloud-based platforms.
• Master’s or PhD degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Physics, Earth Sciences, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots, automation frameworks) to improve research productivity.
• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (such as Spark).
