Program Manager (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Program Manager (Aerospace): Defining and executing complex aerospace projects from start to finish with an accent on risk management, schedule, cost, and quality. Location: Onsite in Mineral Wells, TX, USA. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Salary: $120,000.00–$140,000.00 Annually

What you will do

• Serve as technical and program liaison for external customers and the organization.
• Lead complex projects and provide enterprise-level visibility to achieve operational objectives.
• Advise senior management on issues, provide risk mitigation, and resolve challenges.
• Review technical solutions, prepare statements of work, and provide estimates for design engineering.
• Manage project milestones, coordinate functions for project completion, and control expenditures within budget.
• Lead internal and external stakeholder meetings to coordinate activities and align on next steps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or university.
• Minimum of 8 years’ work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of avionics certification processes for the FAA and other authorities.
• Broad knowledge in avionics systems and safety critical applications with team leadership capabilities.
• Working knowledge of cost and schedule performance analysis and reporting.
• Proven leadership qualities, excellent communication skills and technical writing skills.
• Ability to mentor and lead other project managers.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to travel both domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with the system development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards like DO-254, DO-160, DO-178B/C, ARP-4754 and ARP-4761.
• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD), understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFAR.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
