Broadcast Engineer

TL;DR
Broadcast Engineer: Diagnosing and resolving studio and broadcast faults and supporting day-to-day operation of studio audio equipment with an accent on maintaining digital playout/automation systems and assisting video-over-IP workflows. Focus on ensuring stations stay on air and sound exceptional for live outside broadcasts and modern studio equipment.
Location: Hybrid role, primarily office-based in Belfast.

What you will do
- Diagnose and resolve studio and broadcast faults quickly.
- Support day-to-day operation of studio audio equipment.
- Maintain and support digital playout/automation systems.
- Assist video-over-IP and basic video workflows for online content.
- Support and deliver outside broadcasts and live events.
- Ensure accurate documentation and contribute to technical resilience.
Requirements
- Experience in broadcast engineering or a closely related audio environment.
- Strong hands-on understanding of audio signal flow and studio equipment.
- Good IT literacy including Windows and basic networking.
- A calm and logical approach to problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Experience with Zetta or other playout systems.
- Audio-over-IP exposure (e.g., Axia).
- Outside broadcast experience.
- Radio broadcast background.
