What you will do

  • Build, maintain, and enhance the Loans journey platform.
  • Process high volume of transactions across the UK.
  • Contribute to an agile environment, adapting to team needs and personal aspirations.
  • Collaborate with talented engineers to grow and learn.

Requirements

  • Understanding of application development with Java (ideally Java 17/21), Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and web services.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle within an Agile environment and CI/CD concepts (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Ability to write maintainable code and learn to build modular, testable applications.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or Kibana.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, GCP, Azure, AWS) and container technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Understanding of IT service management concepts (Change, Incident, Problem management).

Nice to have

  • Experience in UI development using React/JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with test automation tools and techniques (TDD, BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin).
