What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, participating in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern Java (11, 17, 21+) and understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with Spring Boot for microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with Hibernate/JPA for ORM and strong SQL skills with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Solid unit testing skills with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
- Experience with Docker, Git, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Quarkus or other cloud-native Java frameworks.
- Familiarity with reactive programming (Project Reactor, WebFlux) and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) or message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) or GraalVM.
