AML Senior Investigator (Fintech)

TL;DR
Senior AML Investigator (Fintech): Driving effective execution of Europe’s AML/CTF and sanctions framework, conducting in-depth investigations into potentially suspicious activity, and assessing AML/CTF and sanctions risks. Focus on drafting and submitting SARs/STRs to FNTT, identifying emerging crypto-related financial crime typologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Location: This role is based in our Lithuania office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you will do
- Own complex and comprehensive investigations of escalated alerts related to retail crypto clients.
- Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) in crypto-related scenarios.
- Draft and directly submit SARs/STRs to FNTT in accordance with Lithuanian AML/CTF requirements.
- Identify emerging crypto-related financial crime typologies and proactively address material risks alongside the MLRO.
- Collaborate with Financial Crime Operations, Fraud, Product, Legal, and shared services teams to ensure investigations are consistent and risk-based.
Requirements
- 4+ years of EU AML/CTF & Sanctions experience, including 3+ years within crypto compliance.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and submitting SARs/STRs to competent authorities (experience with FNTT strongly preferred).
- Solid knowledge of crypto-specific financial crime risks, trends and typologies affecting retail clients.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Willingness to work across time zones with shared services located in the United States.
- Speak and write fluently in Lithuanian and English.
