What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of animators on a show.
• Act as the key contact for production and supervisors, addressing creative and technical challenges.
• Set and manage team assignments and ensure workflow templates are followed.
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure department tools are available and properly set up for the show.
• Attend dailies, present team work, and provide regular feedback to ensure high standards.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, assuming responsibility for their progression.

Requirements

• Previous experience mentoring or leading an animation team.
• Thorough knowledge of Maya.
• Understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, texture, form, rigs, and animation pipelines.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of modelling, rigging, and Mel/Python scripting.
• Knowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills.
