Salary: $60-$120 CAD per hour

What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, advertising, partnership, vendor, and SaaS agreements.
- Advise on data privacy, data protection, and information security obligations, ensuring compliance with regulations like PIPEDA and U.S. privacy frameworks.
- Provide guidance on employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and employment-related matters across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.
- Support internal policy development, advise leadership on risk mitigation strategies, and assist with corporate governance.
- Build and maintain internal contract templates and playbooks while identifying risk exposure and proposing business-aligned solutions.
Requirements
- J.D. or LL.B. and licensed to practice law in Canada or the United States.
- 2–5 years of legal experience, ideally in-house at a technology, data, or SaaS company, or at a law firm with a focus on technology, commercial, or data privacy law.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, Data Processing Agreements, and commercial vendor agreements.
- Familiarity with cross-border (Canada/U.S.) legal considerations.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and IP concepts in technical environments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive.
