TL;DR
Senior Backend Developer (Database-as-a-Service): Architecting, designing, and developing core software components for a multi-hybrid cloud enterprise Database-as-a-Service product with an accent on efficiency, agility, and scalability for Day 1 to Day N operations. Focus on designing innovative solutions for customer requirements, ensuring future-ready and robust system architecture, and contributing to the product roadmap.
Location: This role is based in the US and does not offer visa sponsorship. This is a hybrid role expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week in locations where workplace policy applies (e.g., San Jose, Durham).
Salary: $128,000–$255,600 USD per year

What you will do
- Architect, design, and develop core software components for multi-hybrid cloud enterprise Database-as-a-Service.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and design innovative solutions for database requirements.
- Define functionality that is easy-to-use and intuitive for developers.
- Collaborate closely with development, test, documentation, and product management teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Work with a small team of developers to guide features through the complete secure software development lifecycle to production.
- Follow a methodical approach to design for future readiness, efficiency, scalability, and robustness.
Requirements
- Must be based in the US and legally eligible to work without visa sponsorship.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience working with Microservices, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native applications.
- Experience with enterprise software development in REST APIs (including OpenAPIs), Workflow Management, Orchestration, or Autonomous Database management.
- Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Java, or C++.
- Ability to write efficient, high-quality code and perform effective code reviews.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and design.
