Focus on developing and deploying detection rules as code into the FCS product ecosystem and analyzing cloud environment configurations across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Location: New York City (Hybrid). Candidate should be comfortable visiting the office twice a week once the development center is established.

Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform research into cloud threats, vulnerabilities, and abuses to define best practices.
• Develop and deploy detection rules as code into the Falcon Cloud Security product ecosystem.
• Write descriptions for customers to understand and action alerts.
• Analyze cloud posture data, including multi-factor authentication, access controls, and encryption policies.
• Specialize in cloud security posture management (CSPM) across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Requirements

• Professional experience in cloud security-related operations and engineering roles, specifically in threat detection, incident response, and risk management with a focus on CSPM.
• Experience with data analytics, searching large data sets, and interpreting results using tools like Elastic Search, Splunk, or SIEM.
• Practical knowledge of at least one Cloud Service Provider: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining code in formalized software development/CI/CD workflows, including BitBucket.
• Strong engineering skills with proficiency in Python, Go, Java, C#, or JavaScript for detection content development.
• Proficient in the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience writing detection rules with Open Policy Agent (Rego).
• Having served in a role focused on Detection Engineering or Cloud Posture/Content Engineering.
• Formalized training or certification in cloud computing.
