Technical Artist Environment Modeling Trainee (Gamedev): Creating technical outputs for next departments, communicating with artists assigned to the task with an accent on prepares technical scenes for artists in the department. Focus on addressing technical notes from other departments, assists artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department, tests new tool implementation for the department along with other artists.

Location: Must be available for at least 3 months onsite in Madrid, Spain (from Monday until Friday, 35h/week)

What you will do

• Creates technical outputs for next departments, communicating with the Artists assigned to the task.
• Prepares technical scenes for Artists in the department.
• Tracks the technical tasks.
• Addresses technical notes from other departments.
• Assists artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department – eg. Creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
• Tests new tool implementation for the department along with other Artists.

Requirements

• Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
• Knowledge of some 3D animation area (Modeling, Surfacing, Animation, Lighting).
• Experience in any 3D animation Software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).
• Coding is a plus.
• Must be available for at least 3 months onsite (from Monday until Friday, 35h/week).
• Must be currently enrolled in your last year in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s program at an accredited institution.
• Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• High English level.
• Spanish desirable.
