TL;DR

Team Lead, Commercial Sales (SaaS): Leading the expansion of a commercial AE team across EMEA with an accent on recruitment, coaching, and implementing sales methodologies. Focus on driving accurate forecasting, meticulous pipeline management, and fostering cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced startup.

Location: On-site in Amsterdam (4 office days/week). Must be based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.

What you will do

  • Recruit and onboard a commercial Account Executive team (6-8 AEs).
  • Coach and mentor your team, providing pipegen and deal support through complex technical sales cycles.
  • Support your team in adopting modern sales methodologies like MEDD(P)ICC and Command of the Message.
  • Drive a culture of high activity, meticulous pipeline management, and accurate forecasting for leadership.
  • Partner with Sales Development, Marketing, and Solutions Architects to optimize the lead-to-close engine.
  • Lead by example from the Central Amsterdam office.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying experience in a closing role within B2B technology sales (SaaS).
  • Experience in observability, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or data platforms is highly preferred.
  • Aspiring or existing leader with a clear track record of mentoring peers, or an existing lead/manager who loves the "zero-to-one" building phase.
  • Credibility in conversations with VPs of Engineering, SREs, and Platform Engineers; understanding of OpenTelemetry.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam and thrive in an in-person office culture (4 office days/week).

Nice to have

  • Direct experience selling observability, APM, or related developer tools.
  • Familiarity with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
  • Formal training in MEDD(P)ICC or Command of the Message.
  • Experience in hiring and scaling sales teams in a startup environment.
