TL;DR

Business Development Executive (Cybersecurity): Driving category growth and expanding strategic partner relationships for Tenable within the Platform Security portfolio with an accent on developing and executing growth plans, identifying new revenue opportunities, and cultivating executive-level relationships. Focus on leading consultative sales efforts, managing forecasting and profitability, and influencing cross-functional teams to accelerate vendor adoption and market expansion.

Location: Remote within the U.S. or hybrid if near an hirify.global office. Willingness to travel approximately once per month for in-person engagements is required.

Salary: $58,000–$98,600 USD per year (base, plus commission).

What you will do

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for assigned technology categories and vendor portfolios.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing partner relationships to expand solution adoption.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with key vendors and strategic partners, negotiating favorable business terms.
  • Lead consultative sales efforts across a full solution portfolio, presenting strategic proposals to diverse stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis, manage forecasting, profitability, and drive year-over-year growth.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product teams to align on growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of strategic sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably in technology, distribution, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in driving year-over-year profitability growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience closing complex, solution-based deals.
  • Experience managing profit and loss concepts, forecasting, and margin profiles.
  • Exceptional presentation skills for executive and technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to complete all vendor-specific Tenable certification courses upon hire.
