Creative Engineer

TL;DR

Creative Engineer: Bringing client brands to life within dynamic creative templates, using Figma and After Effects plugins to create scalable systems. Focus on contributing to the development of new AI-based creative solutions and maintaining detailed template guides.

Location: Work from an office a minimum of 3 days a week in San Jose, Costa Rica.

What you will do

• Translate brand guidelines and static designs into dynamic, on-brand template systems.
• Use custom Figma and After Effects plugins to build, animate, and refine automated creative templates.
• Collaborate with the product team to test, feedback, and improve internal tools and automation workflows.
• Explore and contribute to the development of new AI-based creative solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed Template Guides for each project, documenting specifications, logic, and creative parameters.
• Partner with strategists and developers to ensure creative templates align with campaign logic and data-driven objectives.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Figma and After Effects.
• Interest or experience in motion design, animation, or creative automation.
• Excellent organisation, documentation, and communication skills.
• 2+ years of design experience.
• Experience in DCO, programmatic, or ad tech environments.
• Familiarity with creative render pipelines or light coding (e.g. HTML, GSAP, JSON).

• Understanding of data-driven creative systems.
