TL;DR

Scrum Master (Agile/Software Development): Guiding Agile development teams in adopting and refining Scrum practices, facilitating collaboration, and removing impediments to foster continuous improvement and sustainable delivery. Focus on coaching teams to own their processes and outcomes, championing continuous improvement, and bridging delivery and product teams.

Location: Remote (Canada). Preference for candidates based in Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Newfoundland, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

Salary: Up to 100,000 CAD

What you will do

• Collaborate with Product Owners from product vision through retrospectives and during sprint planning.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Refinement) to ensure purposeful, time-boxed outcomes.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum values, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Proactively identify and remove impediments, shielding the team from external distractions.
• Guide the team toward self-organization and ownership of processes and outcomes.
• Maintain the Scrum board (Jira or equivalent) and track key Agile metrics like velocity, sprint burndown, and sprint goal completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM II, A-CSM, or SAFe Scrum Master certification required).
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams.
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and their practical application.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, negotiation, emotional intelligence, empathy, and active listening skills.
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or improving Agile processes for teams working on Utilities software (CIS, ERP).
• General understanding of software development, DevOps practices, Cloud, and emerging AI technologies.
• Kanban certification or demonstrated experience with Kanban and hybrid approaches (Scrumban).
• Job history and experience in product-based organizations.
