Software Engineer II (Golang)

What you will do

• Manage and optimize global service mesh, API gateways, SSL certificates, domain management, Kubernetes traffic, and cloud networking resources.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces, APIs, and infrastructure tooling for traffic resource automation.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for traffic engineering components.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate infrastructure management.
• Mentor junior team members and foster continuous learning.
• Contribute to technical discussions and drive technological improvements through RFCs and alignment.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with service mesh solutions (preferably Istio), API gateways, and cloud networking.
• Proficiency in DNS and domain configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and traffic management resources.
• Fluent in reading and writing Golang code.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies.
• Location requirement: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience measuring and improving latency in complex traffic platforms.
• Hands-on experience with the Open Application Model.
• Previous experience running a tech platform.
