Location: Remote, with a hybrid work schedule based in Waterloo, Canada

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces for complex enterprise applications.
  • Define and maintain the UX roadmap, ensuring consistency across hirify.global platforms.
  • Oversee and participate in user research to understand user needs and measure impact.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate user feedback and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Optimize design workflows from discovery to usability testing and final hand-off.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading a UX design team.
  • 5+ years of hands-on design work for web and mobile enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar design and prototyping tools.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, research methodologies, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present design vision and translate business requirements into actionable design tasks.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration with engineering teams.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years experience in the utilities, energy, or industrial technology sectors.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level design systems and responsive design principles.
  • Background in managing UX for SaaS or mission-critical applications.
