Staff Product Designer (Fintech): Designing and evolving an early-stage product for tax credits, simplifying complex regulations and unlocking financial opportunities for small businesses with an accent on turning government red tape into intuitive, user-friendly experiences. Focus on shaping product strategy, roadmap, and delivering high-impact solutions in a technically and compliantly challenging domain.

Location: Remote (United States or Canada) or onsite (Denver, San Francisco, New York City). Employees based in US office locations are expected to work from the office approximately 2-3 days per week.

Salary: $146,000/yr to $183,000/yr (Denver & most remote locations) and $177,000/yr to $222,000/yr (San Francisco, Seattle & New York).

What you will do

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define a long-term UX vision aligned with hirify.global’s strategy.
  • Shape product strategy, roadmap, and team objectives through a design lens.
  • Deepen understanding of customer needs through research, data, and discovery.
  • Design and ship new and iterative experiences that deliver value and raise the craft bar.
  • Contribute to hirify.global’s design community through skill-sharing and mentorship.
  • Champion and evolve the design system and platform standards through product work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Design experience, with a track record of leading design direction across teams and product areas.
  • Proficient in designing simple, intuitive solutions in complex or technical domains, ideally in fintech, platforms, or services.
  • Ability to partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to shape roadmaps and system-level decisions.
  • High bar for craft, ensuring mindful, high-impact solutions reach customers.
  • Capacity to think holistically, designing cohesive customer journeys across digital products and human support touchpoints.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, lead through action, and be motivated by real customer impact.
