What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve platform services and tooling for scalable software delivery.
• Develop, extend, and maintain backend components, APIs, and data models.
• Lead and contribute to system and low-level design for complex platform features.
• Drive operational excellence by improving reliability, performance, monitoring, and automation.
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams for solution adoption and reusability.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language and ecosystem commonly used for backend or platform engineering, with strong understanding of system design, API design, and data modeling.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating backend or platform services in production environments.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and the ability to integrate AI/ML-enabled capabilities.
• Must have US work authorization as employer participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java and TypeScript in production environments.
• Background working with data-centric systems such as data platforms, data pipelines, data quality tools, or data catalogs.
• Familiarity with event-driven or streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis) and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools or platforms and an interest in applying AI to improve developer workflows, testing, or data quality.
• Prior experience in large-scale consumer tech, travel, marketplace, or cloud platform environments.
