What you will do

• Deep-dive into sessions, users, and transactions to uncover fraud patterns and turn manual reviews into repeatable insights.
• Manage active fraud attacks with urgency and precision, participating in on-call rotations for resolution.
• Recommend and optimize risk rules, balancing fraud prevention and customer experience.
• Influence model improvements through structured analysis and real-world feedback.
• Use SQL to analyze large datasets and surface actionable insights.
• Present strategic recommendations to client or internal stakeholders and partner with Engineering, Product, and Data Science.

Requirements

• 4+ years in fraud prevention, investigations, or risk management (fintech/payments strongly preferred).
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and interrogation.
• Experience with BigQuery, Metabase, or similar analytics tools.
• Proven ability to influence client-side stakeholders with clear, data-driven recommendations.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication skills to simplify complex fraud concepts and a high ownership mindset.
