Head of Delivery

TL;DR

Head of Delivery: Establishing and leading a high-performing technology delivery function with an accent on organisational design, capacity planning, and defining delivery frameworks. Focus on implementing new ways of working, ensuring best practices in planning and risk management, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Location: Hybrid in Glasgow, UK (3 days office / 2 days remote) with some travel to Ipswich.

Salary: £125,000–£130,000 per annum + package.

What you will do

• Create an effective delivery organisation and operating model.
• Define roles, identify skills gaps, and recruit/upskill the team to ensure capability.
• Own the prioritisation, sequencing, capacity planning, and governance for investment and portfolio lifecycle management.
• Select, define, and continually improve delivery frameworks, methodologies, and standards.
• Ensure best practice across planning, estimating, risk, and dependency management.
• Create trust and strong relationships with executive stakeholders, translating roadmaps into implementable delivery plans.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Head of Delivery role or similar, leading technical delivery across an organisation.
• Experience of establishing and embedding organisational designs and processes in complex environments.
• Experience of establishing Agile processes and working in a productised environment.
• Demonstrable success in growing and developing a team.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
