Data Scientist - Product (AI/Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Data Scientist - Product (AI/Fintech): Leading and guiding Data Science/Machine Learning teams to develop financial crime fighting products with an accent on novel modeling strategies, explainability, and strong governance practices. Focus on delivering data-led solutions, processing very large datasets with Python and PySpark, and directly contributing to observability and governance tooling.

What you will do

• Collaborate within a diverse team of data scientists and software engineers to detect financial crime.
• Communicate findings to Product Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide technical feedback to the team regarding architecture, design, and experimental setups.
• Lead the planning, execution, and success of Data Science initiatives.
• Process very large datasets using the Python scientific stack and SQL.
• Work and contribute to state-of-the-art modeling strategies with bespoke architectures.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with very large datasets.
• 2+ years of experience in applied Machine Learning.
• 2+ years of data science work, including experiment design.
• Experience in communicating complex concepts to customers and/or key stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking including Account Opening or Credit Risk Scoring.
• Practical experience with tree-based algorithms (Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM).
• Experience working in the fraud detection domain.
