What you will do

• Co-create the technical architecture, design patterns, and best practices for the AI Application Modernization Factory.
• Act as a hands-on Principal Engineer, making code contributions and performing complex code reviews.
• Define the strategy for embedding Generative AI capabilities, including RAG systems and LLM orchestration.
• Drive the technical strategy for modernizing legacy applications to a cloud-native architecture.
• Lead, mentor, and coach senior and junior engineers.
• Implement secure-by-design principals along with robust cloud-native observability tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, with significant time spent in a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Architect role.
• Expert-level experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and proven mastery of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Hands-on skills working with SQL and No-SQL databases and experience in modern technology languages such as Typescript, Python, C#, Java, Go, or Ruby.
• Proven experience in formal team leadership (3+ years preferred) with direct management responsibilities for software engineers.
• Exceptional team collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating a multi-tenant SaaS (Software as a Service) solution at scale.
• Prior experience leading a modernization or re-platforming effort for a large enterprise or B2B application.
• Experience in multi-agent frameworks and integrating GenAI capabilities using frameworks like Langchain or LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with Context Engineering, agentic architectures, Hybrid Vector Databases, and advanced proficiency in Prompt Engineering and Guardrail Design for enterprise AI safety.
