What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers, product, and QA teams.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain Kafka producers and consumers for event-driven workflows.
• Support production systems, including incident triage and resolution, during European working hours.
• Contribute to legacy system stability and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring (Spring Boot preferred).
• Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with relational databases, ideally SQL Server.
• Experience supporting production systems and performing root-cause analysis.
• Practical knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, integration testing), Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Availability to work with strong CET overlap.
• Clear communication in English.

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling.
• Experience with performance tuning and SQL optimization.
• Experience migrating or refactoring legacy systems.
