Senior QA Engineer (Web3): Owning and elevating the quality strategy for the hirify.global DeFi Wallet, a mobile app, with an accent on architecting scalable quality frameworks, driving automation maturity, and embedding security and usability. Focus on designing and executing comprehensive manual and automated test strategies across mobile, frontend, backend, and API layers, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, confident, and secure releases in a high-risk Web3 environment.

Location: Hybrid in Vienna, Austria with flexibility to work 25 days per year remotely from a city or country of your choice.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end quality for the DeFi Wallet across mobile, frontend, backend, and API layers.
  • Architect, extend, and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright E2E) and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive QA strategy within the SDLC, embedding Shift-Left methodologies and advocating for testability, usability, and security.
  • Define and evolve the release testing strategy, balancing cadence, device coverage, exploratory testing, and automation.
  • Mentor QA interns and support developers on automation, testing best practices, and clean coding standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive QA experience in mobile-first environments, with strong hands-on expertise across Front-End, Back-End, API, and integration testing.
  • Proven experience building and scaling automation frameworks (ideally TypeScript-based) using tools like Playwright, and integrating them into enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
  • Understanding of Web3 transaction lifecycles and blockchain-related risks, with the ability to design testing strategies that mitigate financial, security, and data integrity risks.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify systemic weaknesses, edge cases, architectural risks, and recurring patterns.
  • Fluency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and application of clean coding principles to automation.
  • English: B2 required.
