What you will do
- Install, configure, and maintain middleware messaging systems, ensuring updates.
- Provide Service Operations support, managing and resolving incidents using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Diagnose and resolve middleware-related issues, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.
- Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Dynatrace.
- Participate in change advisory boards and support release cycles.
- Create and maintain documentation for best practices and troubleshooting, and collaborate across teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience in system or middleware administration role.
- Proficiency in middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, HA proxy, Max Scale, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat.
- Hands-on experience with Linux Redhat operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Familiarity with databases (Oracle, Maria Database, SQL Server).
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with load balancers (F5, AVI or Elastic).
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), IBM MQ, or ITIL Foundation.
