Python Developer (Fintech, ML): Designing and developing reliable and maintainable high-load backend services for a modern banking platform with an accent on service architecture, data flows, and robust testing. Focus on owning the full delivery lifecycle from deployment to operation in AWS/Kubernetes and contributing to an innovative engineering culture for ML-driven fintech services.

Location: Remote (preferred time zones GMT+5 to GMT+10) or onsite in Manila, Philippines. Relocation support available for eligible candidates.

What you will do

• Define service architecture and data flows, choosing appropriate communication patterns.
• Write focused unit and integration tests, and instrument services with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Package, deploy, and operate services in AWS or Kubernetes (EKS).
• Develop and maintain internal libraries and tooling across teams.
• Standardize patterns for repeatable tasks, including observability and error handling.
• Propose improvements, challenge decisions, and bring clarity to ambiguous problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong, real-world experience shipping and running backend or ML-driven services end-to-end.
• Experience building microservices (e.g., FastAPI).
• Strong Python fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• AWS and Terraform experience.
• Understanding of concurrency models in Python (asyncio, multiprocessing, threading).
• Experience in software architecture (event-driven, DDD).
• Experience in ML / NLP / CV productionization or graph databases.
• Experience in fintech, risk, antifraud, or scoring systems.
