Combat Waffle Studios is looking for a Senior AI Programmer to help build immersive and engaging enemy AI systems for VR games. In this role, you will design and implement high-quality AI features in Unreal Engine, ensuring gameplay feels fun, readable, and performant in virtual reality environments.

You will collaborate closely with designers, gameplay engineers, and artists, taking full ownership of AI systems from early prototypes to polished, production-ready implementations.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Design and implement enemy AI systems for VR games
• Build AI behaviors using C++ in Unreal Engine
• Collaborate with designers, gameplay engineers, and art teams to ensure AI is engaging and optimized for VR
• Iterate on AI systems based on playtesting and feedback
• Own AI features end-to-end, from concept to final implementation

📚 Required Skills
• Strong Unreal Engine experience
• Solid C++ gameplay programming experience
• 6+ years of professional game development experience
• Proven experience building AI systems for enemies or NPCs
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a senior role

👍 Nice to Have
• VR development experience
• Previous experience developing AI specifically for VR games
