What you will do

• Build and own large-scale data pipelines and observability systems.
• Design reliable telemetry pipelines.
• Improve monitoring and alerting systems.
• Ensure data quality and system visibility at scale.
• Design, develop, and run resilient distributed systems.
• Contribute to open-source ecosystems and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Related technical degree required
• 7+ years of backend software development experience
• Strong programming skills: Java (strongly preferred); Python and Rust are strong pluses
• Strong experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS and GCP
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Strong experience building Big Data Platforms using Flink, Spark, Kafka, Trino, HBase, etc.
• Experience operating data or infrastructure platforms at enterprise scale
• Experience owning and operating multiple instances of critically important services
• Experience with Agile development and Test Driven Development
• Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence
• Deep understanding of distributed systems: strong opinions on CAP theorem, ability to sketch consistency models, and understanding of Paxos, Raft, and Zookeeper at implementation level
